@GIA_Crypto @trinitm1 spread this newson Twitter ✌️

Reminder there are currently two mining pools monitored by the DevTeam:
1) https://prohashing.com/live.html
2) https://zergpool.com/site/mining

Prohashing and Zergpool both support merged mining and allow you to mine the most profitable coins using any hardware (not just scrypt) and take your payout in NYC.
Solo mining NYC is not profitable and does little to secure the network.

Using an L3+ as an example and .10 USD/kWh as a base energy cost you will spend 1.92 USD to solo mine 2k NYC.
The same amount of hashrate/USD applied to one of the merge-mining pools or purchasing via Graviex would net in the neighborhood of 290K NYC.

What is the reason for calling this pool “Official”? It’s not.

What is the reason to call this pool “official”? Answer. 1.This is a long and beautiful story since 2014, when our team created and promoted a coin. The pool immediately became official, without commissions and with community support. Do not smile, but my birthday is also March 4th. 02. After the events of last fall, they put on a modernization expectation so that miners do not offend. Now we are waiting for the placement of links back to sites - http://nyc.mypool.club/. It is strange that community feedback does not work - E-MAILS info@nycoin.community,
contact@nycoin.community😢

Help the NYC community in alerting and inviting miners to the updated http://nyc.mypool.club/ pool, as well as posting links to the pool on sites and resources. Also a notification about a new node - new external node for connecting wallets:

>>>>>> 46.36.217.248:9999

The stability of the coin blockchain and the speed of wallet synchronization have grown due to this.😍

I’m sure this is a well meaning attempt by someone who doesn’t understand how PoW blockchains and difficulty adjustment algorithms function. If this were a child blowing to help a kite fly, we would all say “aww, how cute”, but were an adult to do this, well it would just be a little sad.

As a precaution I would suggest blacklisting the IP he posted pending a review to determine if it is malicious.

We of course welcome any and all merge mining pools that profitably mine and transparently share all the rewards from merge mining. It is not profitable to solo mine a coin that is being actively merge mined, NYC, Dogecoin, Viacoin, MyriadCoin, PesetaCoin are notable examples.

The best way for a miner to support the network is to mine at Prohashing or ZergPool. Some miners are also using P2Pool to merge mine up to 9 coins simultaneously, which is also a great option.
